Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY: This 3D Printing Technician (Maverick) will report to Operations and will have primary responsibility for breakout, finishing, assembly and visual inspection of 3D printed inserts. Performs other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: \n - Will be involved in additive manufacturing of components used in the manufacture of ceramic cores
\n - Performs routine laboratory tests/analyses/examinations.
\n - Maintains appropriate records regarding instruments and tests/analyses/examinations.
\n - Complies with all EHS rules required for the work environment.
\n - Must be able to work overtime as required.
\n

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: \n - Develop knowledge and proficiency in 3D printing process within organizational unit. Alternatively, develop a general working knowledge in at least three skill areas.
\n - Prepare material for test or examination as required.
\n - Learn set-up, maintenance, calibration and operation of 3D printing equipment as assigned.
\n - Maintain records of calibration, test or examination as required.
\n - Maintain safety awareness and work safely with hazardous materials
\n - Be knowledgeable of and contribute to continuous improvement in a team environment
\n - Complete temporary tasks as may be assigned by management/supervision.
\n - Maintain a high attendance record.
\n

Qualifications EDUCATION: This position requires a minimum of high school diploma, preferably with coursework in sciences.
SKILLS AND ABILITY: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to group members.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Preferably a familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
EXPERIENCE: This position requires three or more years of general work experience, or one or more years of laboratory experience and/or 3D printing experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee will regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Vision requirements are close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
EQUIPMENT USED: Laboratory testing equipment, 3D printing equipment, solvent cleaning equipment, UV cure, CNC and hand finishing, CT inspection, telephone, computer, copiers.

Although the duties of this job require the employee to work with various chemicals, work with electrical, and mechanical equipment, Arconic EHS standards will be maintained throughout. The noise level is moderate too loud.
