General Summary As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. Responsibilities include maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork. Principal Duties & Responsibilities Greeting and assisting customers positively, answering questions, and resolving inquiries. Maintaining a clean, well-stocked store and providing excellent customer service. Supervising, training, and developing Store Associates under the Store Manager’s guidance. Unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring items from stockroom to store. Assisting in ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling. Supporting loss prevention efforts and assuming management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager. Following all company policies and procedures. Position Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; ability to interpret operational directives. Prefer management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 55 lbs, and perform physical activities like walking, standing, and climbing. Flexible, full-time availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Skills in customer focus, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
