What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Assist in the development and implementation of comprehensive government relations strategies across multiple states
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on legislative and regulatory developments impacting community oncology
  • Build and maintain relationships with key policymakers, legislative staff, and relevant stakeholders
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise communications, including policy briefs and presentations
  • Collaborate internally with various departments to ensure alignment on policy positions and advocacy efforts
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Government, Communications, or a related field; Masters degree preferred
  • Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in government relations or public affairs, preferably in healthcare or oncology
  • Demonstrated understanding of the legislative and regulatory processes at federal and state levels
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • 5+ years of experience specifically in government relations, public affairs, or legislative affairs within healthcare
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with a proven ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
