Now, Black Butte Ranch is seeking a dynamic Catering & Events Sales Manager to join our leadership team and help couples, families, and organizations create unforgettable moments at The Ranch.
The Opportunity
As our Catering & Events Sales Manager, you’ll be the creative and strategic driver behind our social, wedding, and corporate events. You’ll build relationships, design experiences, and lead the planning and execution of everything from weddings and milestone celebrations to retreats and corporate gatherings.
This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives on storytelling, connection, and the joy of bringing people together - someone motivated by the opportunity of selling one of the Northwest’s top destination wedding venues .
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute sales strategies to maximize event and lodging revenue.
Cultivate strong client relationships through site tours, networking, and personalized communication.
Oversee event planning and coordination, ensuring a seamless guest experience from first inquiry to final toast.
Manage the planning, negotiation, and execution of contracts, budgets, and timelines.
Collaborate closely with the Food & Beverage Director, Banquet Captain, and catering team to deliver seamless events.
Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through outside sales calls, trade shows, and referrals.
Create proposals, contracts, and communication materials that reflect the elevated standard of the Black Butte Ranch brand.
Forecast group revenues and analyze performance metrics to meet or exceed sales goals.
Serve as a key ambassador for the Ranch in the Central Oregon community and beyond.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred.
3–5 years of experience in catering, events, or hospitality sales required.
Proven success managing multiple events and client relationships simultaneously.
A passion for hospitality, with strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
Creative, detail-oriented, and able to anticipate client needs.
Highly resourceful, professional, and self-motivated.
Compensation & Benefits
Starting salary: $55,000 - $60,000 plus commission and incentive pay based on event sales and overall revenue goals.
