Job Description

Gulf Winds is seeking Owner Operators for its new location in Norfolk, VA. Gulf Winds serves the container drayage, transloading, and domestic transportation industries and offers CDL-A owner operators consistently high volumes of work. Plus, you'll stay close to your starting point, making your runs and home time dependable. Compensation:

Average Weekly Pay: $4,000 + FSC
Fuel surcharge paid off gross (% of load)

Routes: out and back from Norfolk
Level of touch: 75% drop and pick/hook Equipment Requirements
Any year of truck as long as it passes inspection Qualifications
Must have a valid CDL A License
Minimum 21 years of age
Minimum 1-year verifiable tractor trailer driving experience in the last 10 years
TWIC required, HazMat not required but adds additional opportunities
No more than three (3) moving violations within the last thirty-six (36) months.
No more than two (2) preventable accidents within the last twenty-four (24) months
Must be able to pass a FMCSA pre-hire drug screen and have no prior FMCSA positive drug and/or alcohol testing or refusals within the last 10 years
Must be able to pass a previous employer and criminal background check. No misdemeanor in the last five (5) years or felony convictions in the last seven (7) years
Must live within 75 Miles of Norfolk, VA As a full-service, third-party logistics provider, our Owner Operators enjoy consistent and steady work as partners with the largest container drayage provider on the Gulf Coast.
