Aunty’s Kitchen in Waterloo is seeking an innovative and experienced Chef to join our 26-person strong team. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills, lead a kitchen team, and create memorable dining experiences for our guests.

About the Role

As our Chef, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes that delight our customers. You will bring creativity to the menu, develop daily specials, and ensure our food remains fresh, exciting, and consistent in quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all kitchen operations
• Prepare cold foods, as well as fry, grill, and sauté dishes
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe workstations
• Follow and develop recipes to maintain consistent quality
• Uphold excellent hygiene and food safety standards
• Manage heavy kitchen equipment and handle physically demanding tasks
• Lead and mentor the kitchen team, including training staff on new recipes

Requirements

• Minimum 2 to 3 years of Indian/Pakistani experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting
• Culinary or associate’s degree preferred
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills
• Proficiency with a wide range of kitchen equipment
• Creativity and a refined palate for flavor development
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
