Job Overview Join CNN Weather’s Climate & Weather team as a Video Editor & Producer to write, produce, shoot, and edit content for all digital platforms, including mobile, social, and web. Key Responsibilities Work with weather and climate experts to research, report, script, shoot, and edit videos for digital platforms. Produce live video coverage for mobile platforms during extreme weather events. Monitor video sources for news, assets, and viral moments. Generate video pitches for news, features, and series. Experiment with new formats and trends. Guide the team’s approach to VOD and live content. Turn in clean, accurate scripts on first draft. Qualifications 4+ years of experience in digital-first, vertical video. Experience producing live digital video. Strong knowledge of current industry-standard video equipment. Expertise in post‑production software such as Adobe Premiere. Track record of delivering video quickly in a deadline‑driven environment. Experience reporting, fact‑checking, and identifying characters. Understanding of news values, a passion for journalism and extreme weather. Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work holidays, weekends, overnights, and extended hours as required. Foreign language skills are a plus. Self‑motivated, team‑oriented collaborator who values diversity.
