This position is for an Editor for the Seller University Learning and Development (L&D) team.

In this role, you will work with stakeholders to ensure our content catalog is relevant, easy to consume, valuable and fresh. As a result of your efforts, Amazon Sellers will get the skills and knowledge they need to progress effectively and efficiently throughout their journey and be successful in delivering customer value. Collaborate with Technical Content, Program Management, Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Risk teams to support a wide range of program content, and drive initiatives for achieving speed, quality, and scale.

The ideal candidate has excellent editing, time management, and communication skills. You will bring a critical eye to insist on the highest standards for the seller education experience. You will collaborate with internal business partners to refine and bar raise content. You show serious obsession for customers, and work backwards to understand their needs, and you deliver results in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment. You’re able to own content editorial projects from start to finish, understanding trade-offs while mitigating risks and measuring impact. You have an eye for continual process improvement to deliver high-quality content to our end customer.

Key job responsibilities
- Adhere to content roadmap and guidelines, working backwards from the customer to edit and improve content.
- Contribute to the team’s efforts to raise our content standards by focusing on content structure, metadata provision, term management, and authoring style guidelines.
- Work with writers and subject matter experts to address gaps in content coverage, asking great questions to advocate for sellers and customers.
- Ensure we are delivering concise, accurate, easy to consume content.
- Employ a continuous improvement mindset to drive scalable process for ensuring quality.

Amazon Seller University's mission is to educate global sellers with high-quality, multi-modality content covering tools, features, and programs, to empower and equip them to run a successful business. We are a team of product, learning design, program, analytics, and tech professionals who work collaboratively to innovate for and educate sellers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 1+ year experience in technical writing, or related field, or comparable job experience
- Experience editing content including coordinating with other teams
- Strong bias for action and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Experience with content management systems and content tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience creating external customer facing content
- Experience creating content for translation and localization; ability to speak multiples languages a plus.
- Experience working in an agile content development environment
- Experience working as part of a global team with remote colleagues

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $42,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $102,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
