Job Description

Job Purpose: Support MCA's information security initiatives by assisting with the monitoring, analysis, and documentation of cybersecurity activities. Provide hands-on experience in threat detection, risk assessment, and compliance support, helping to strengthen MCA's security posture while gaining practical knowledge of cybersecurity operations and frameworks. Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed)

1. Monitor and investigate security events to identify potential threats.
2. Assist with offensive security testing and related research initiatives.
3. Develop automation and scripting solutions to enhance threat detection and response capabilities.
4. Gain hands-on experience with tools such as Wazuh, Greenbone, and custom Python-based systems.
5. Participate in activities related to SIEM, network visibility, threat hunting, and log forensics.
6. Support internal security processes, document findings, and collaborate on process improvements.
7. Communicate with HQ network engineers in South Korea to implement & operate Global Mando Network Solutions.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Preferred major: Computer Science, Information Systems or a related Field. Willingness to learn quickly, take initiative, embrace failure as part of the learning process, and continuously improve. Technical Competencies: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues using resources such as Google, Github, Technical forums, or office documents. Additional consideration will be given to candidates with experience in cybersecurity labs, home networking, scripting, or Capture The Flag (CTF) challenges.
