Job Description

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team at the Bakersfield CBOC .

Requirements:

A current unrestricted license by the Committee on Dental Auxiliaries (COMDA) for the State of California
• A minimum of 1 year experience as a dental assistant
• A Dental Radiological Certificate
• A current BLS and or/CPR card
• A valid TB test

Responsibilities:

• The Dental Assistant shall perform chairside assistant duties in all phases of
  dentistry including but not limited to, prosthodontics, periodontics, oral and
  maxillofacial surgery and endodontics.
• The Dental Assistant shall be responsible for receiving routing patients, recording
  information related to patient care, utilization of all dental programs, and providing
  patient with education material related to their care. Following surgical
  procedures, the dental assistant shall provide proper verbal and written post-op
  instructions.
• The Dental Assistant shall instruct, assist, and answer questions for a variety of
  dental trainees in the Dental Clinic.

Working Hours:

• Monday through Friday (7:30am - 4:00pm and 8:00a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
• 11 Federal Holidays off
