Federal Work Study - Student Peer Tutor

Job Description:

The Advising & Learning Center on the Beebe Campus is seeking (1) Federal Work Study student at 15 hours per week for the Fall 2025 & Spring 2026 terms. Duties include:

• Tutor students
• Participate in study groups as needed
• Assist with office traffic as needed
• Assist students with checking out textbooks and calculators
• Assist with calculator tutorials and programming
• Perform any other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required.

• Math tutors must have completed College Algebra with a grade of B or higher
• Science tutors must have completed Biology, Chemistry, or Physics with a grade of B or higher
• Business tutors must have completed Accounting I, Statistics, or Business Calculus with a grade of B or higher
• A skills assessment is required

Minimum Salary or Salary Range:

$11.00 per hour

This position will be subject to a pre-employment criminal, sex-offender registry background check. In cases where pre-determined, an additional financial/credit history/ background check may be required as well. Convictions that have been sealed or legally eradicated and misdemeanor convictions for which probation was completed and the case was dismissed, will be excluded.
