About The Role As an early engineer at Orb, you’ll help to build the technical foundations of a critical product that needs to be reliable and accurate at scale. You’ll work closely with our customers to understand pain points in their business processes, and help incorporate those insights into our product roadmap. Our customers rely on Orb to transform an inherently complex domain (billing, from data ingestion to subscription management and revenue recognition) into an efficient, powerful, and easy-to-use experience. In This Role You Will Own your changes end-to-end, ensuring value is delivered to customers before considering a feature to be shipped Evolve the product data model to balance complexity and clarity Scale real-time ingestion and query systems for large, high-performance deployments Learn from and contribute to a highly skilled team Collaborate cross-functionally (PM, design, sales, customer success) to shape strategy and deliver value About You 1+ years of experience in software engineering Enthusiastic about working on a broad range of technical challenges across the stack Attention to detail in designing a product with deep user empathy (in visual UX, API design, and everything in between) Excited to engage with customers directly to shape the Orb product Based in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate (with support from Orb) Benefits Excellent medical, dental, and vision insurance Unlimited PTO plus an additional week off between Christmas and New Year’s 401k plan 16-week paid parental leave with equity vesting Commuter stipend Catered lunches in the office Meaningful equity in the form of stock options Equal Opportunity Employer We work with each other day in and day out, and strongly believe that building a diverse and inclusive team is key to our long-term goals and success as a company.
