Job Description

Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager I and without detailed supervision or review, the Hiring Analyst is responsible for advanced analytical duties that include but are not limited to staffing certification, hiring process, budget and position control management, complex salary compensation determination for exempt staff, makes decisions and provides advice and assistance on difficult and complex personnel matters and special projects as required.

Individuals who do not have transfer eligiblity, must have taken and passed an examination to obtain list eligibility for the classification in order to apply. Effective July 1, 2025, the California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025).
