Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Nocturnist Location: Oneonta, NY Sign-On Bonus Up to $50,000 A progressive academic health system in Central New York is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide Nocturnist Hospitalist services at a community hospital in Oneonta.Overview:This 53-bed hospital offers subspecialty support in cardiology, surgery, infectious disease, pulmonary, and orthopedics, as well as robust telemedicine coverage for psychiatry, palliative care, and neurology. The facility uses a fully integrated EPIC EMR.Position Highlights: Join a team of 18 hospitalist physicians and 4 advanced practice clinicians 155 shifts per year (block schedule; typically 7 on/7 off) Hours: 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM Extra shifts available at premium pay Primary responsibilities: admissions, cross-coverage, transfer coordination, and responding to codes/rapid responses On-site 24/7 Emergency Medicine physician support Hospitalist physician backup available by phone Procedural skills preferred but not required Independent and team-oriented providers welcomeCompensation & Benefits: Salary Range: $140,000 - $150,000 Sign-on bonus: Up to $50,000 Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life and disability insurance Paid malpractice Retirement plan CME allowance (up to $2,000/year) Paid licensure and DEA renewals Relocation assistance (up to $5,000)Qualifications: NP or PA certification New York State licensure DEA required Inpatient experience preferred, but not requiredThis opportunity is ideal for motivated providers looking for a supportive team in a scenic upstate New York location, with access to year-round recreation and a strong community feel.
