Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Job Description

Join our team as a Maintenance Engineer, where you will be responsible for the preventative and corrective maintenance of hotel equipment and building components. This role involves completing work orders that include tasks such as minor plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC maintenance. Situated in a modern boutique hotel in downtown Austin, professionalism and customer service are paramount.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on hotel equipment and building components.
• Complete work orders for minor plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks.
• Ensure professionalism and excellent customer service in all interactions.

• 3.5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or in the construction field.
• 1.5+ years of maintenance experience with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, gauges, and electrical testing devices.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Basic computer skills (Office or Word).
• GED or high school diploma.

• Direct experience in hotel or building maintenance.
• Familiarity with the city of Austin's building code amendments.
• A degree from a trade school.
• Military veterans, particularly from the Navy or Army, are encouraged to apply.

This opportunity allows you to be part of a small, impactful maintenance team in a new and modern hotel located in the heart of Austin. Enjoy working in a clean and up-to-date environment, predominantly indoors, where your contributions are quickly recognized.

Work Environment

The maintenance team consists of four members, providing a close-knit work environment. The facility operates with shifts either from 8 AM to 4 PM or from 12 AM to 9 PM, with schedules provided in advance. Expect to work Monday through Friday with rotating weekends. The hotel is modern and well-maintained, offering a pleasant and professional work setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $31.00/hr.
