Job Description

DESCRIPTION

Have you ever wanted to be part of a team building industry-changing technology? Project Kuiper is launching a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities worldwide.

Amazon seeks a HRP Manager to lead the HR support function for Project Kuiper's Production Operations organization. As a key member of the HRP4 People eXperience and Technology (PXT) team, you will oversee HR professionals providing strategic and hands-on support while restructuring HR functions, processes, and systems to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and consistency. Your work will enhance manager capabilities and maintain exceptional employee experience.

You will actively support Production Operations Corporate teams including Supply Chain, Ground Infrastructure Services, Software, Kuiper Enterprise Tech, and Global Trade as your primary client group. This requires balancing team leadership while personally handling HR needs for these critical functions.

In this role, you will need to create innovative approaches and mechanisms to lead and cultivate HRP talent across both day and night shift. The role requires regular travel to production sites to support your team members, understand evolving business challenges, and maintain strong relationships with operational leadership.

Key job responsibilities

- Experiment & Deliver Results: Research industry best practices (process excellence, products and services) that have tangible benefit to ProdOps managers.
- Operational Excellence: Take end-to-end ownership of complex workplace investigations, change management strategies, and process improvements by diving deep into problems to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions that ensure high-quality resolution and successful adoption.
- Measure & Inspect: Direct the implementation of employee listening mechanisms and establish culture and talent goals with executive leadership and Line HR, developing clear success metrics and inspection mechanisms that drive cross-functional understanding of business impact and create accountability for progress.
- Innovate & Build: Identify opportunities to address service gaps and process inefficiencies within Prod. Operations, leading the transformation of HR structures, processes, and systems while developing business cases for new value-added services that enhance the employee and manager experience.
