Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join a national law firm located in Houston. As the Litigation Paralegal, you will assist attorneys in all stages of the litigation process, from case inception through trial and post-trial activities. This opportunity is full-time, direct hire, and fully on-site for the first 90-days. Following the initial training period, the Litigation Paralegal would be eligible to work remotely one day per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with the preparation and filing of legal documents
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information
  • Manage case files and maintain organized and up-to-date records
  • Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and other court-related events
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and provide updates on case progress
  • Prepare trial exhibits, witness lists, and other materials for court proceedings
  • Review and summarize medical records, deposition transcripts, and other documents
  • Ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements
  • Assist with the preparation of settlement agreements and other legal documents
  • Perform other duties as assigned by attorneys and management

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years' of experience as a Litigation Paralegal, defense experience required
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and document management
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
  • Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited institution preferred
