Job Summary

The M ail Clerk will be responsible for sorting and delivering mail, checking in and delivering packages, finishing production print jobs, and picking and packing orders for The Kroger Co. This role requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual who can work both independently and as part of a team. The position involves significant walking and standing with occasional opportunities to sit.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sort, deliver, and check in mail and packages efficiently and accurately.
2. Perform finishing tasks and manage production print jobs.
3. Pick and pack orders as needed.
4. Answer and manage phone calls on the switchboard.
5. Collaborate effectively with team members and take initiative to lead when needed.
6. Maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
7. Stand or walk for the majority of the shift, with occasional brea ks to sit.

Required Qualifications

1. Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
2. Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
3. Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
4. Basic phone answering skills, including switchboard experience preferred.
5. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Previous experience in mailroom, delivery, or warehouse environments.
2. Ability to lead and take initiative in daily tasks.
