Three years progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least the GS-04 grade level, which includes:
This definition of general experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04);
4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree in a discipline directly related to the position such as: Business, Management, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Psychology, Public Administration, and Computer and Information science.
At least 30 semester hours in one or more related subject areas, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
To qualify for the GS-07 grade level, you must possess at least one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-5 level or higher in the Federal service (or private sector equivalent) demonstrating experience and knowledge of the application of the principles, concepts and methodology associated with natural resources.
To qualify for superior academic achievement, you must have ONE of the following: (1) standing in the upper third of your college class or major subdivision at the time you apply; (2) grade point average of B (3.0 on a 4.0 scale) or its equivalent for all courses completed, either (a) at the time of application or (b) during the last 2 years of your undergraduate curriculum; (3) B+ (3.5 on a 4.0 scale) or its equivalent for all courses completed in a related discipline, either (a) at the time of application or (b) during the last 2 years of your undergraduate curriculum; OR (4) election to membership in one of the national honorary scholastic societies that meets the requirements of the Association of College Honor Society;
Possess one year of graduate level education in a discipline directly related to the position such as: Business, Management, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Psychology, Public Administration, and Computer and Information science.
A combination of graduate-level education and experience, as described above, may be used to qualify for this position.
To qualify for the GS-09 grade level, you must possess at least one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 level or higher in the Federal service (or private sector equivalent).
Possess two years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or LLB., or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
A combination of graduate-level education and experience may be used to qualify for this position.
To qualify for the GS-11 grade level, you must possess at least one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level or higher in the Federal service (or private sector equivalent).
Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field directly related to the work of the position.
A combination of graduate-level education and experience may be used to qualify for this position.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
