About the Role

The Company is seeking a Managing Director, Development to lead the establishment of multi-year contributions, identify new funding sources, and manage current donors. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team that is dedicated to achieving the site's fundraising goals, including major gift solicitation, grant writing, and event planning. This role also involves serving on the site leadership team to support and drive site-wide initiatives. The Managing Director will be expected to develop and implement a strategic and diversified fundraising plan in partnership with the Executive Director and Board, and to ensure that the plan meets current goals while anticipating future needs and growth objectives. Applicants for the Managing Director, Development position at the company should have a minimum of 8 years' experience leading development teams and a proven track record of meeting ambitious fundraising goals. The role requires strong project management, organizational, and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the company's mission and core values, and a background in fostering collaborative relationships. Responsibilities also include board management, leading the development team, and collaborating with the Executive Team to identify and position the organization for success in both the short and long term.
