We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join our team in Middleton, Wisconsin. This Contract to permanent position is ideal for a skilled individual with expertise in network infrastructure, customer-facing solutions, and vendor management. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining, securing, and optimizing enterprise-level networks.

Responsibilities:
• Design, configure, and manage advanced network systems, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Implement and maintain security protocols using platforms such as Palo Alto Networks, Fortigate, and Cisco ASA.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Collaborate with clients to deliver tailored network solutions and provide exceptional customer support.
• Conduct regular patch management and updates to maintain system security and reliability.
• Utilize protocols like BGP to manage and optimize network traffic.
• Partner with vendors to evaluate and integrate new hardware and software solutions.
• Document network configurations and procedures to support ongoing operations and scalability.
• Perform audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance and training to team members to enhance overall capabilities.• Minimum of 7 years of experience in network engineering or a related field.
• Strong expertise in Cisco routers, Juniper switches, and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Proven ability to manage network security protocols and perform patch management.
• Familiarity with BGP and other advanced networking protocols.
• Experience in customer-facing roles with excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
• Knowledge of vendor management and integration of third-party solutions.
• Proficiency in documenting processes and creating technical guides.
