Job Description
Base Salary $65-70k + Quarterly Bonuses + Profit Sharing. $100-110k total
Overview The Occupational Health Nurse reports directly to the General Manager at the respective location and indirectly to the Occupational Health Director. The successful candidate holds a valid nursing license in practicing state and current certification in CPR/AED from American Red Cross or AHA.
The position is full-time Monday - Friday with on-call required after hours for injury management.
Responsibilities - Treatment of on-site injuries and referral to outside medical care as needed
- Case management for injured workers and facilitate return to work
- Provide medical surveillance for all employees including but not limited to annual audiograms, spirometry, vision screening and lead testing
- Conduct new hire pre-employment drug and alcohol screening & coordinate medical examinations
- Participate in ergonomics assessments and job hazard analyses
- Administration of the Drug and Alcohol program according to company policy
- Responsible for training employees in First Aid and CPR/AED as Medical Responders to aid in the care of injured workers
- Responsible for training employees on Bloodborne Pathogens, Hearing Conservation, Violence in the Workplace, Ergonomics and Heat Stress to meet OSHA requirements
- Advise on Workers' Compensation claims, as needed
- FMLA Administration
- Maintain HIPPA compliant documentation
- Accountable for delivery of agreed to regional health metrics and outcomes
- Purchase all supplies required for the first aid clinic
- Develop and meet site budget expectations
- Drive increased health outcomes including reducing population health risks, managing and eliminating workplace health risks and supporting improved business outcomes through advancing employee health and wellbeing
- Willingness to work closely with the Safety Coordinators at the division level to recognize hazards and prevent injury
Qualifications Required - Active RN license in state of practice
- 2 or more years hospital or clinic nursing experience
- Excellent assessment skills in a clinical setting
- Phlebotomy skills a must
- Current CPR/AED certification
Preferred - 3 or more years of experience in occupational nursing or emergency nursing and/or clinic experience
- 3 or more years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, and/or occupational environment
- Working knowledge of regulatory areas (ADA, OSHA, FMLA, Workers' Compensation)
- CPR/AED Instructor
- Health coaching/certification
- Certified Occupational Health Nurse
