Job Description

Electro-Mechanical, LLC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team and support our mission of delivering reliable, high-quality solutions across our manufacturing operations. This role is based at our facility in Bristol, Virginia and plays a key role in advancing our operational excellence through rigorous quality standards and continuous improvement.

As a Quality Engineer, you will collaborate closely with the quality and production teams to resolve product and process issues, improve systems, and uphold the standards of our ISO 9001-based Quality Management System. Your efforts will help ensure consistent quality, compliance, and efficiency across all production areas.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Partner with production and engineering teams to investigate quality concerns and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.

  • Conduct root cause analyses and apply quality tools to drive systematic problem solving.

  • Assist in developing and delivering training programs for quality procedures and standards.

  • Monitor quality performance metrics and initiate improvements based on leading and lagging indicators.

  • Support and improve the internal audit process and help coordinate external audits.

  • Participate in the continuous improvement of our Quality Management System, ensuring alignment with ISO 9001 standards.

  • Maintain the calibration system, ensuring accurate tracking and timely calibration of gages and measurement tools.

  • Contribute to the overall safety, compliance, and performance of the organization by fostering a culture of quality and accountability.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience (as determined by leadership).

  • Experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies such as root cause analysis, CAPA, and measurement systems.

  • Familiarity with ISO standards and auditing practices.

  • Six Sigma certification preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate across departments.

Travel & Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional travel (less than 15%) may be required, including trips within the U.S. for training.

  • Ability to move throughout the facility as needed and lift up to 25 lbs.
