This role is part of PIMCOs European Real Estate Debt team, which manages CRE debt transactions across Europe, deploying over 4B in commitments. The team invests across the capital structure and asset classes, including senior, whole loan, mezzanine, and development loans.

We are seeking an Asset Management Associate to support our debt asset management team. The role involves working closely with senior team members on asset oversight and proactive management of CRE debt investments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in proactive asset management of CRE debt portfolios to maximize value and minimize risk.
• Collaborate with external partners such as borrowers, lawyers, servicers, co-lenders, and consultants.
• Coordinate loan setups and work with third-party servicing teams.
• Maintain asset management reports and conduct portfolio analysis and stress testing.
• Monitor performance indicators, property and financial performance, and market conditions.
• Oversee borrower execution of business plans and assist in collateral valuation and re-underwriting.
• Identify potential credit and market risks, proposing mitigation strategies.
• Negotiate modifications, waivers, or consents, and support capital markets activities.
• Prepare investment memos for committee review.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in real estate investment banking or private equity, with asset-level underwriting preferred.
• Strong financial modeling skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and writing skills.
• At least 1 year of experience in real estate sectors such as finance, investments, M&A, advisory, etc.
• Proactive, ethical, team-oriented, and eager to learn.
• Additional European languages are a plus.
