Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Social Worker position is available in a K-12 school setting located in Ypsilanti, MI. This contract opportunity offers a comprehensive school year assignment to support the social and emotional needs of students across all grade levels. Part-time candidates will also be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social work services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade, addressing behavioral, emotional, and social challenges.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and community resources to develop individualized support plans.
• Conduct assessments, counseling sessions, and crisis interventions as needed.
• Facilitate group counseling and promote positive school climate initiatives.
• Maintain detailed records and reports in compliance with state and district policies.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Social Worker in the state of Michigan (required).
• Experience working in K-12 educational environments preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school staff.
• Ability to manage caseloads and prioritize demands in a dynamic school setting.
• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices related to school social work.
