Scrum Master role at Eccalon, LLC Position Overview The Scrum Master is a vital member of our agile development team, responsible for facilitating and guiding the successful adoption and implementation of Scrum principles and practices. As a servant leader, you will empower the team to self‑organize, collaborate, and deliver high‑quality products, ensuring the Scrum framework is effectively applied to promote continuous improvement, transparency, and a culture of open communication. Key Responsibilities Facilitate Scrum events (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand‑ups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives) to ensure they are productive, time‑boxed, and focused on achieving the team's objectives. Remove impediments that hinder development progress and foster an environment conducive to continuous improvement. Act as a liaison between the development team and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and managing expectations with regular updates on project progress. Coach the team in agile principles and practices, ensuring adherence to the Scrum framework while being flexible and adaptable to the team's unique needs. Mediate and resolve conflicts within the team and across departments, fostering a positive and collaborative atmosphere that promotes creativity and productivity. Monitor and track team performance metrics (velocity, burndown charts, etc.) to provide insights into progress and identify areas for improvement. Facilitate retrospective meetings and guide the team in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Collaborate with other Scrum Masters in the organization, sharing best practices and contributing to the continuous improvement of agile practices across the company. Qualifications And Skills Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent agile certification is preferred. Proven experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar agile project management role. In-depth knowledge of Scrum principles, practices, and agile methodologies. Strong communication, facilitation, and mentoring skills. Ability to handle multiple priorities and thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Excellent problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution abilities. Collaborative and team‑oriented mindset, with a focus on fostering a positive work culture. Familiarity with agile project management tools (e.g., Jira) is required.
