As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through visible presence and proactive engagement. You will conduct routine patrols throughout the premises, interact with visitors and associates, and provide exceptional customer service while addressing any security-related concerns. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter incidents and/or suspicious activity.
• Observe and report any security-related issues or irregularities to management and/or law enforcement as required.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity in and around the location.
• Support access control procedures, including monitoring entrances and exits as needed.
• Collaborate with store personnel and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and provide assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Experience providing customer service is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
