About the Role Senior Producer of CNN Global Productions plays a vital role responsible for producing revenue-generating feature content for all of CNN’s platforms from pitch to publish. They will also master multi-platform storytelling—from written digital features to bite-sized social videos to documentaries—while innovating with new technologies. This position is ideal for someone with solid experience turning data and audience insights into storytelling that creates social discourse. The Senior Producer will mentor other producers and junior staff, sharing experiences and wisdom. They independently conceive and execute story treatments across digital, TV, and social media while maintaining CNN’s high editorial standards. Key Responsibilities Take responsibility for the department’s most high-profile and challenging sponsorships, delivering against defined KPIs and using data to influence decision making. Travel extensively and collaborate with regional bureaus to introduce CNN’s global audience to diverse stories. Work with on-air talent, high-profile individuals, and cross-functional teams to produce content that distinguishes CNN from competitors. Promote budget awareness and professionally manage project costs. Manage day-to-day logistics and creative process of content creation, regularly reviewing performance with Insights colleagues. Champion CNN’s editorial standards by ensuring compliance with editorial processes and procedures, dependent on location and jurisdiction. Work under the Executive Producer to assign project budgets and goals for each sponsored campaign, and collaborate with Concept Development Executives to ideate new sponsorship series proposals. Qualifications & Experience 7+ years’ experience creating engaging content (written, video, social) that drives traffic. A leader who can mentor younger producers and manage the pressure of ambitious projects. Strong writing and editing skills. Relevant experience and passion in using social media as a publishing and audience engagement tool. Strong and proven editorial judgment. Strong communicator and collaborator. Deep understanding of multiple platforms and devices. Good understanding of current affairs. Must understand S&P and local regulatory guidelines. Must be organized, efficient, and able to multi-task booking, logistics, and research. A positive, self-starting attitude will serve the candidate well in this position.
