Job Description

$7,500 Sign on bonus for all eligible, experienced Surgical Tech's!

We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Tech (CST) to join our team! This is a full time position working Monday - Friday + call.

The OR is a 6-bed unit plus a 3-bed endoscopy suite offering a full range of surgical and endoscopy procedures, including robotics, orthopedic, urology, plastics, gynecology, podiatry, ortho/spine, vascular, pain and general surgery. Our highly skilled team of healthcare professionals is dedicated to keeping our patients and their family healthy.

Responsibilities:

As a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center, you'll have a crucial role in ensuring surgical procedures run smoothly and safely. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing operating rooms for surgery using appropriate techniques
  • Providing technical services and assisting during surgical procedures
  • Collaborating with Registered Nurses to deliver surgical nursing care to patients of all ages
  • Assisting the nurse manager in delegated areas
  • Facilitating schedules with the OR and CS teams for efficient surgery flow
  • Representing the department with a commitment to exceptional customer service

Qualifications:

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Certificate of graduation from an accredited School of Surgical Technology or military equivalent
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) license (or military equivalent) required upon hire
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Surgical Tech in an acute care hospital operating room or surgery center setting required
  • Preferred: Orthopedic and general surgery experience
  • REQUIRED: Robotic surgery experience
  • Experience in Cath Lab or Endoscopy procedural areas is a plus
  • No regular on-call required but may be required to be on-call at least one (1) holiday per year
