\n\nTravel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work in a 16-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit
\n• Patient ratios: 1:2, or 1:1 for certain device patients
\n• Scheduling requirements include 2 weekends per month, 1 summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day), and 2 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
\n• Float as needed, typically to other ICUs but may include other floors
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
\n• Strong critical care experience required, including CVICU experience
\n• Skills with PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring required
\n• Preferred experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT
\n• Provide care to immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients, including ECMO, Centrimags, and HM3 LVADS
\n• Perform central line insertion, swan insertion, intubations on unit
\n• Work with Phillips bedside telemetry monitors, Hill-Rom beds, Alaris IV pumps
\n• Use Meditech documentation system
\n• Dress code requires black, red, or galaxy blue scrubs, scrub jackets/vests only
\n• Intensivist assigned to unit 24/7
\n• Unit secretary and Administrative Care Tech available Monday-Friday 7:30 AM-3:30 PM
\n• Free floating charge nurse available to assist staff

The unit works with 5 full-time surgeons performing high-volume and advanced cardiac surgeries, and maintains a strong driven team of nurses with excellent teamwork and collaboration.
