Job Details

• Mental Health Coordinator position responsible for planning and providing clinical mental health services of a non-medical nature in the facility.
• Conduct mental health screenings and assessments based on review of records and clinical interviews with inmates.
• Provide treatment by developing, implementing, and modifying individual treatment plans based on evaluation of needs and level of functioning.
• Document treatment and evaluation activities in health care records for each person seen.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive materials and information.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques through treatments and activities used for individuals in caseload.
• Provide appropriate mental health assessments, counseling, and crisis interventions to address inmate needs.

Job Requirements

• Five (5) years of clinical experience including two (2) years in a comparable job position.
• Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or related clinical area.
• Must possess appropriate LPC, LCSW, or LMFT certification or licensing in the state where practice occurs.
• Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
