Job Description

If so, please read and apply! DNV's Renewables and Power Grids group is seeking a Wind Turbine Engineer to join our Wind Finance and Technology team. In this role, you will evaluate risks associated with wind turbine technology, including site suitability assessments, turbine technology reviews, and construction monitoring reports for wind farms, serving project owners, lenders, and investors. This position is based in our DNV offices in Seattle, WA; San Diego, CA; Houston, TX; or Medford, MA, with a hybrid schedule of three days per week working from an office or client site. Additional details will be provided during the interview process. What You'll Do Perform turbine site suitability evaluations using DNV's internal tools, reviewing mechanical load assessments prepared by OEMs. Contribute to wind turbine technology assessments, review reports, and communicate with clients as part of technical due diligence for project financing, mergers, and acquisitions. Stay current on new wind turbine technologies, engaging with OEMs to understand technical details and updates. Conduct field and factory inspections of turbines and components for construction monitoring, operational assessments, quality inspections, and failure investigations. Review O&M budgets and provide cost projections using DNV's tools, evaluating major component failure rates. Prepare reports, memos, and technical notes to communicate findings clearly and accurately to clients. Review root cause analyses performed by OEMs, assess risks, and participate in investigations into turbine failures. Complete required documentation such as safety assessments, timesheets, expense reports, and inspection check sheets promptly. #J-18808-Ljbffr DNV GL, USA
