Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking Logistics Transportation Specialists as part of our Work Based Learning Program (WBLP). This position requires the successful candidate to report to a site location. Amazon has multiple WBLP trainee openings in 2025. Trainees will participate in our 12?month work and training program in our Northern Virginia facilities.

Key job responsibilities

• Delivers inventory between warehouse and data center locations utilizing Sprinter Van.
• Completes and documents thorough pre?trip vehicle inspections.
• Travels between multiple sites within the same geographical region using personal vehicle as required.
• Operates material handling equipment safely and efficiently (including forklift operations).
• Monitors and responds to transportation tracking systems.
• Maintains accurate data entry in inventory management systems.
• Validates and ensures accuracy of supply chain billing documentation.
• Supports daily logistics scheduling for inventory movement between locations.
• Maintains clean and organized work environment following 5S standards.
• Collaborates effectively with cross?functional teams.
• Supports partner team operations including customer request fulfillment, inventory receiving, reverse logistics, and cycle counting functions.

A day in the life

The Logistics Transportation Specialist transports inventory from location to location, reviews delivery ticket queues, and manages demand to ensure proper stock levels are maintained in all locations to support build and repair activities. Working with the Logistics Manager, they create plans to optimize the flow of parts through their lifecycle, tracking inventory location, movement, age, and turns. Regular, ongoing communications with peers and leadership help resolve issues and clarify business requirements.

The Logistics Transportation Specialist is responsible for accurate data entry and resolving questions from peer organizations. Responsibilities include manual tasks such as assembling, addressing, stamping and arranging for the delivery of merchandise and materials. They assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick?ups to and from production locations.

The Logistics Transportation Specialist is expected to understand all aspects of production, adhere to strict safety standards, maintain very high quality, and be willing and able to work on powered equipment such as forklift or cherry picker.

Compensation for this position ranges from $39,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $83,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job?related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
