The Digital Chief Compliance Officer will have responsibility for managing Digital business compliance and ethics programs.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • This is a key role for the function which requires strategic vision and superb execution skills to deliver simple, effective, audit-ready compliance processes and to influence executives and employees to manage culture and key compliance risks. The role requires the individual to:
  • Own and manage the Digital compliance programs, including fostering and strengthening a strong compliance culture and tone from the leadership;
  • Partner with the relevant Corporate, Business and Functional leadership teams to ensure that compliance risks are detected, abated and managed;
  • Drive and facilitate compliance ownership by leaders through regular Compliance Review Board meetings and other operating and reporting methods;
  • Perform risk assessment and abatement, including forward-looking identification of emerging or unappreciated compliance risks and pro-active implementation of mitigation programs;
  • Gather and analyze compliance related data to assess risk and construct strategic responses;
  • Manage ombuds program ensuring strong culture of open reporting and efficacy of response mechanisms;
  • Partner with HR, labor and employment and Vernova HQ Ombuds and investigation teams, to ensure efficacy of ombuds investigations and effectiveness of corrective actions;
  • Work closely with executive sponsors, department members and labor and employment team, ensure a strong culture of open reporting, oversee ombuds program and investigations and ensure timely closure of cases;
  • Ensure adequate policies, procedures and controls are effectively in place for applying enterprise standards and company specific risk areas for the unique needs of the Digital business;
  • Work with functional teams and leaders to ensure effective implementation of all applicable Enterprise Standards, including export controls;
  • Partner with relevant stakeholders to implement and maintain an effective training and communications program for critical risk areas for the business;
  • Drive implementation of risk-based and data driven assurance mechanisms within the business and in partnership with audit teams.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; J.D./master's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of six (6) years of professional experience in compliance, law, internal audit, controllership, or related field.
  • Experience in leading a global compliance programs.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Word, Power Point and Excel skills is required.
  • Professional fluency in English is required, with additional language skills a plus.
  • For roles outside of the USA- This role requires significant experience in the Legal & Chief Compliance Officer (CCO). Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • For roles in USA - Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
Desired Characteristics
  • Experience with financial/controllership or audit services.
  • Knowledge of, or experience with, compliance issues, such as - export controls, anti-corruption/FCPA, conflict of interest, supplier related risks, competition, data governance and privacy.
  • Proven experience directing and leading the implementation of key compliance initiatives and projects.
  • Highest personal integrity with demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters in a discreet and respectful manner.
  • Excellent independent judgment.
  • Ability to interface effectively with senior executives, business and functional leaders throughout the organization.
  • Ability to support/lead people who sit in multiple locations and are from diverse cultures.
  • Process and detail-oriented, including strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • A sense of humor.
  • Outstanding communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with people at various levels of the organization.
  • Proven analytical and evaluation skills.
  • Note:
