Job Title: Environmental/Hazardous Waste Manager
Location: Luling, TX

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Environmental/Hazardous Waste Manager to oversee the management of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes generated at our Luling site. This role is critical to ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, maintaining safe waste handling practices, and supporting the company's commitment to sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Waste Management:
• Identify, classify, and manage hazardous and non-hazardous wastes generated at the site.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and disposal of all waste materials in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Coordinate waste transportation and disposal with approved vendors.
• Compliance and Reporting:
• Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including EPA, OSHA, and state-specific requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of waste generation, storage, and disposal activities.
• Prepare and submit required environmental reports, including manifests and annual waste summaries.
• Site Inspections and Audits:
• Conduct regular inspections of waste storage areas to ensure compliance and safety.
• Support internal and external audits related to hazardous waste management.
• Training and Education:
• Provide training to site personnel on hazardous waste handling, storage, and disposal procedures.
• Serve as a resource for environmental compliance questions and best practices.
• Sustainability Initiatives:
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste generation and improve recycling efforts.
• Collaborate with teams to implement environmentally sustainable practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Knowledge of hazardous waste regulations, including RCRA, DOT, and EPA standards.
• Experience in hazardous waste management, environmental compliance, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and environmental management software.
• Excellent communication skills for training and reporting purposes.
