Job Description

Marshall Advertising, one of Florida’s largest independent media buying agencies, is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Junior Media Buyer for a full-time position in our main office in Tampa, FL. We use a hybrid work model, remote and in-office, currently 3 days a week in office (subject to change).

Ideal candidate has 2-3 years of media buying and planning experience.You must be able to wear many hats, which could include campaign planning, negotiating, buying, trafficking, monitoring live schedules, reporting, reconciliation, billing - just to mention a few. As a Junior Media Buyer, you will play a vital role in executing media campaigns, optimizing performance, and supporting the overall media strategy. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Competency in media buying across various channels including TV, cable, radio, print, OOH, digital, social media 
  • Collaborate with the media buying team to negotiate rates, placements, and added value opportunities.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify target audiences, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Manage client backend processes including traffic, contract confirmations, tracking weekly pre and post performance, and billing through full reconciliation process
  • Assist in maintaining campaigns and all materials related to campaigns, including budgets, flowcharts, approvals, reconciliation, etc.
  • Collaborate on media campaigns from start to finish in cooperation with media reps/vendors
  • Support the media buying team with administrative tasks, including invoice processing, contract management, and documentation
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and media buying best practices

Requirements include:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience
  • Knowledge of media planning and buying principles, including media metrics, pricing models, and negotiation techniques.
  • Familiarity with Strata Media Buying Platform, including View, SBMS, and Eleven
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • A passion for advertising, media trends, and a willingness to learn and adapt to a rapidly evolving industry.
