Job Description

As a Security Professional - Unarmed Patrol in Columbia, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer in a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, assisting tenants and visitors, and maintaining open communication to address concerns. You will embody our values of agility, reliability, and teamwork, always acting with integrity and putting people first while supporting a secure environment for all occupants.

Pay Rate: $33.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate property and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions depending on the location.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a visible presence and observing the premises.
• Document and report security-related incidents, unusual activities, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Active Department of Defense Top Secret Clearance is required.
• Top Secret SCI clearance is required.
• Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
